Meet Sydney!
My Story
Hi, I’m Sydney—a 23-year-old recent college graduate, lifelong Orioles fan, and someone who’s loved baseball for as long as I can remember.
If you ask my dad where it all started, he’ll tell you it was at a Tampa Bay Rays game when I was little. He expected I’d spend the afternoon more interested in the snacks than the action on the field. Instead, I was completely locked in, watching every pitch and asking questions the entire game. From that day on, baseball became more than just something we watched—it became something we shared.
Growing up, baseball was always on in our house. My parents are both from Maryland, so cheering for the Orioles came naturally. Over the years, my dad and I have made it a tradition to travel together to watch the Orioles play in ballparks across the country. Those trips have given us the chance to experience incredible stadiums, explore new cities, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
My love for the game didn’t stop at being a fan. I grew up playing softball, and in fifth grade I started my first baseball website. Around that same time, my dad helped connect me with the Orioles’ media relations team, giving me the opportunity to interview players and experience a side of baseball that most kids never get to see. Looking back, those experiences only strengthened the passion I already had for the game.
Today, I’m a recent college graduate from Florida Atlantic University. I have chosen to pursue a career in the sports industry, with interests in marketing and event operations.
This website is my chance to share that passion. Whether I’m breaking down a big storyline, offering my perspective on what’s happening around the league, or simply writing about a game I love, I hope you’ll enjoy following along.
